Moussa Mounir

With a deep-rooted passion for soccer, I have spent over 20 years immersed in the sport, transitioning from a competitive player to an influential coach and Director of Coaching for Touch Kings FC. My journey in soccer began as a youth player in 1998 with Lycée Sportif in Casablanca, Morocco. I played as a midfielder and had the privilege of representing professional clubs such as Rachad Bernoussi, El Majd, and Raja Casablanca. As a player, I developed a comprehensive understanding of the technical, tactical, and mental aspects of the game, which I now leverage in my coaching philosophy.

Throughout my coaching career, I have worked with players of all ages and skill levels, from youth teams to high school teams such as Stone Mountain High School in Atlanta, GA, semi-professional clubs like Kings Hammer in Tennessee, and collegiate teams including the College of Southern Maryland (CSM). I am committed to creating an environment where players grow not only as athletes but also as individuals, emphasizing skills, teamwork, leadership, and discipline.

My coaching philosophy is a blend of Positionism and Relationism:

  • Positionism prioritizes structure, space, and positioning on the pitch. Managers like Pep Guardiola emphasize maintaining positional discipline to create numerical superiority in key zones, allowing teams to control the game through calculated movements and predefined patterns of play.

  • Relationism focuses on the relationships between players and their ability to adapt to the flow of the game. This philosophy, exemplified by managers like Carlo Ancelotti, prioritizes organic interactions, spontaneity, and player intelligence to create opportunities through improvisation.

By combining these approaches, I guide players to develop confidence, technical skills, and mental resilience, preparing them for challenges both on and off the field.

As the Director of Coaching at Touch Kings FC, I oversee the strategic direction of all coaching programs, ensuring that our philosophy, training methods, and player development processes align with our long-term vision. I mentor coaches, design comprehensive curricula, and focus on the continuous development of players through structured coaching and personalized support.

In addition to my hands-on experience, I have invested in professional development through various educational programs and certifications. I hold a Pro B License, a Professional Diploma in Tactical Analysis, and the US Soccer National C License obtained with Atlanta United. My education enables me to integrate the latest training techniques, performance analysis tools, and sports science principles into my coaching practices, ensuring players receive the highest level of instruction.

I am passionate about fostering a positive soccer culture that empowers athletes, coaches, and teams to achieve their fullest potential. Whether through hands-on coaching or guiding the development of soccer programs, I am driven to make a lasting impact on the soccer community.
